Board Meeting Minutes
January 9, 2012
The board for the Town of Hammond held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, January 9, 2012, at the Hammond Town Hall at 1816 County Road E.
Chairman Peterson called the Town of Hammond Board meeting to order at 7:45 p.m.
The agenda was approved, motion by Anderson/Hueg second.
The bills and payments were approved, motion by Wynveen/Anderson second.
Minutes from Public Hearing November 14, 2011 were approved, motion by Gillis/Anderson second.
Minutes from December 12, 2011 regular meeting and approval, motion by Hueg/Andersen second.
The Treasurer's report was approved, motion by Gillis/Hueg second.

Recycle Report: Ken reported everything is full.
Planning Commission; Met on January 2, all members were present. The Commission reviewed a driveway ordinance from the Town of Eau Galle, they will be changing it to meet the towns needs. They will also review statues to make sure we are compliant.
Duane Voiles term on the Planning Commission will expire in April of 2012. The board will fill the position at the April meeting.
The commission expressed some concern about the holding of a referendum during the spring election and it being non-binding. Paul will talk with legal with their concerns.
Next meeting will be February 6, 2012.
Linda shared some information from the Village of Baldwin and the estimated cost of the IPAD for the board members. Linda and Paulette will bring an IPAD to the next meeting for a demonstration.
There was discussion on the Hammond Seniors using the town hall twice a week (Tues. and Thurs.) for their lunch and gathering place. There is approximately 8 – 10 people who attend, the food is cooked in Woodville and delivered to the hall prior to the noon meal. Amy Hueg will be responsible for making sure the hall is always cleaned up afterward. The days of use will not interfere with normal Town business at the hall. The board approved the seniors using the town hall, motion by Gillis/Hueg second.
Paulette, reported that she had some concern about a couple of properties that are in foreclosure and falling into disrepair and could present a safety hazard. The properties are located at 1716 96th Ave. in Pheasant Hills and the second is 1601 87th Ave. Linda will try and find out what bank owns the properties.
Chairman’s report: Ken reported that one of the vents blew off the roof of the town hall; he contacted Mel Zehm to do the repair work. Mel completed the work last week.
County put in a driveway on County Road T (.26 miles south of T.)
Ken also reported that the Town of Hammond was awarded $14, 320 from the TRIP program, the money will be used for the 190th project from County road J to 60th Ave.
Mike Kamm from the Town of Warren was at the meeting to make a clarification on what town is responsible for the driveways on the boarders between Town of Hammond and the Town of Warren. It was decided that each town continue to take care of their side of the road as in the past.
Next meeting scheduled for February 13, 2012.
Being no other business the meeting was adjourned, motion by Anderson/Gillis second.
