Planning Commission; Meeting was held on February 6. 2017. Everyone was present.

The commission went over All-Croix building inspector contract.  They reviewed the driveway permit, setbacks and the driveway ordinance.

Then next planning commission meeting will be March 6, 2017.

Tom Jenkins reviewed the 2017 Rural Insurance policy, explained our policy reduction for the year; motion by Wyveen/Aune second.

Todd Dolan was present to go over new contract.  Will change it to include the fee of $60 for a driveway permit and the contract will be for 3 years (2020); motion Wynveen/Gillis second.

Driveway and structure set-backs; motion Gillis/Wynveen second.

Review of driveway permit, changed it to say “must be filed with the Town Board representative”, motion Gillis/Aune second.

Drive way ordinance, reviewed; motion by Aune/Wynveen second.

The brush along 150th Street between 70th and TT needs to be trimmed, going to hold off on the county doing the work for now; Paul will go out and do what he can.  St. Croix Forestry asked for permission to come in and clear cut the Wells and Bowman parcels, they were told they would have to wait until the road restrictions were lifted.

Had some discussion about the condition of our roads and with only being able to budget for 1 mile a year.  We have approximately 6 miles that will need to be done sooner or later.  Fearful the deterioration will get ahead of us; there was talk about asking for more money via a referendum to do a couple miles a year.  Will have to do a good road review to see what roads would be done first.

Chairman Report: There will be a discussion on roads and financing at the next WTA meeting

Next meeting scheduled for Monday, March  13, 2017.

Being no other business the meeting was adjourned, motion by Gillis/Aune second.

Respectfully submitted: Linda Hawkins
