Board Meeting Minutes

January 9, 2017

 

The board for the Town of Hammond held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, January 9, 2017, at the Hammond Town Hall at 1816 County Road E.

 

Chairman Hueg called the Town of Hammond Board meeting to order at 7:40 pm.

 

The agenda was approved; motion by Wynveen/Anderson second.

 

The bills and payments were approved; motion by Gillis/Wynveen second.

 

Minutes from December 12, 2017 regular meeting were approved motion by Anderson/Aune second.

 

Treasures report was approved: motion by Aune/Anderson second.

Recycle Report: All good, Paul checking on a new dumpster.  He is waiting on more information from Nedlin’s.  Paul put a new heater on the compactor.

 

Planning Commission; Meeting was held on January 4. 2017. Leon Hawkins was absent.

The commission met with Ed Flanum to review a Dalton CSM.  They also continued work on the driveway ordinance; they have it ready for Terry Dunst (legal) to review.  They eliminated all language on shared driveways and no embellishments around culverts.

Then next planning commission meeting will be February 6, 2017.

 

Board:

Dalton CSM approved; motion by Anderson/Aune second.

Driveway ordinance was discussed above, ready for Legal review.

 

Roads:

The new weight restrictions signs are being worked on and should be ready when they are needed.  The board discussed residents pushing snow across the roads.  There is an ordinance against this and the county will be watching for those who violating the ordinance.  The Town will send letters will be sent to the violators.

 

Chairman Report: Paul gave an update on the Erich Weinert property issue.

 

Next meeting scheduled for Monday, February 13, 2017.

 

Being no other business the meeting was adjourned, motion by Anderson/Gillis second.
